I took maca for about two and half weeks and for the first time in my 29 years of life- I missed a period. It finally came 14 days late. Thankfully, everything seems to be back to normal, but boy was I STRESSED!! Haven’t taken maca since and think women should do their research and be careful before taking these herbs. Just bc they’re natural doesn’t mean they can’t do any harm! If you have healthy, regular periods, I’d say- DONT TAKE MACA! I took it bc so many women raved about the many health benefits, but if you don’t have hormonal issues it can really throw your body out of whack. I loved the fact that my boobs and booty got bigger (which I didn’t even know was a side effect), but having my period and sanity was way more important. Lol
